Default radix heat ex.?

is there a better heat ex. that works better than the stock one? or is meth the answer for HOT IATs?

Holty, moregrip, and quiet a few others have put on larger exchangers. I have a small radiator style and then I even have the stock one below that. I think what you'll find is that roots gets hot no matter what. The lrgr hxr will bring the IAT's down some but the biggest side effect is recover to operating temp is a ton quicker. Mine recover before I get back to the gate to get my slip. Stock setup wouldn't recover until i get back to our gathering area and let it idle for a bit. On the street, racing around...that's a huge benefit. I can easily hot lap.

Like dewey said, the larger heat exchanger won't lower your peak IATs, but it will help you cool down faster afterwards. I went from a single HX to dual HX setup and that's what I experienced. If you really want to keep your IATs down during the run, meth is probably the answer. After you get to a certain point though, you're going to heat up no matter what. When I was running a 2.8" pulley on my Radix it heated up regardless of how much meth I sprayed.

Doesn't meth eat away at the coating on the rotors? Or is that something else? I thought that is why people prefer to run NOS w/the Radix.

Please correct me if i'm wrong

like they said, besides meth dual heat exchangers are a great idea.

nitrous and meth are both gonna "corrode" the coating. But, how many miles a year are ya putting on it? How many times in those miles would you aggressively guess you are gonna be spraying meth? What is maggi's recommendation for a refresh anyway? Unless you are pouring meth on the rotors everyday, I don't think in the big picture of things it wil screw your blower up.

Anyhoot, meth really doesn't help a ton with the radix IAT's from what I can tell. Throw 100% water injection in there. LOL That'll do her. LOL Okay okay okay, use some meth to help gain some octane and be able to add some spark.
