Haha. I wish there was a turbo in front of it. This is just some wonkyness from the bypass valve actuator, actually... I don't have full control over it yet. Long story short, the blower inlet area actually became pressurized and started compound boosting its own boosted air, resulting in a spike. Never seen anything like it lol.

whaaaaat... that is bizarre!

Interesting that IAT didnt rise and I assume it was while letting off? Airflow is decreasing. I am having a hard time understanding how that even happens...

It was a spike, very brief...no real time to build up heat. Airflow was decreasing because pressure behind the throttle was above baro, so MAF flow nearly stops. I was only going a couple miles an hour pulling away from a stop, just a little bit of throttle. Manifold pressure came up and opened the bypass to control boost while throttle position was decreasing. With the duty cycle on the solenoid where it was, it was enough to allow the bypass pressure release behind the closing throttle to rise enough to close the actuator again, reboost that air and continue the vicious cycle. In figuring this out I had seen it cycle like that as many as a half dozen times. That time I was driving maybe 35mph and IAT went up like 40 degrees in just a second or two. This was the worst instance I had seen though in terms of overboosting, thought it was pretty funny lol. Crazy when your SCIAP sensor reports 106kpa and you don't have a turbo. Don't try this at home, kids.

2016 Silverado 1500 5.3l, Whipple 2.9, 4 3/8 pulley, LT TSP 1 7/8” headers, catted Y pipe, stock exhaust except for Carven TR muffler. Pat G online tune is much improved over Whipple tune. I’ve seen 9 psi in the scan gauge. A little surprised it’s that much. Exhaust may still be restrictive at higher RPM’s.
