Project "SnowPlow" with 186K miles finally changes ProChargers. D1SC to I-1

Previously I had a D-1SC system on my truck with a HoB DD bracket.
Which had been a rock solid set up running 8psi of boost, even after all the miles.
Never thought I would change a thing (unless the DoD cam, or trans finally let go)
Well darn my luck they keep on living with no issues, so I guess I will have to wait LOL.

However when given the chance to be a BETA test truck for the ProCharger i-1 system,
I sold the D-1SC and I jumped on the chance for the i-1.

The front mount intercooler is pretty dang nice, and everything fits perfect.

No tuning has been done yet, so I have no idea what power numbers are,
Obviously I know I won't be setting any records, since my truck is 100% stock down to the cats.
And just running 91 octane (no meth) and is just a 5.3L and stock 4L60.

However having the boost curve of the i-1 will be nice with the 4L60 trans.
And I am beyond stoked to be able to change the boost on the fly!

This year she won't get nearly the miles piled on here as before, since I won't be traveling every weekend.
However it will be fun to see if a supercharged 5.3L can make it to 200k miles with no change in DoD cam, and the stock 4L60. LOL.
(Sadly the front diff. seals are starting to leak so I am going to likely have to fix that)

**Yes its called the snow plow, since its a slammed Z71 4x4, and drags the nose everywhere in the snow.
But this year we didn't get much snow at all, I guess mother nature sent all of it to the east coast. (boo on her)

Its a really cool concept for sure. It will be interesting to see how well it stands up to being pushed to higher RPM and boost. I would imagine the internal transmission has a breaking point...

In for more pics.

OK, I got a few images of it on the dyno.
I want to wait till ProCharger gives me the "thumbs" up to post the results.

However I am blown away right now with the gains.
It makes 6psi at 1,900rpm and full 8psi by 2,400rpm!
They program that "curve" to come in like that to be nice to the pistons.
So the boost doesn't hit to hard down low, and lug the motor.

Though I will be able to change all of that from inside the truck.
The boost "curve" as well as the overall boost level.
Being stock, I doubt I will push it much past 8psi.

The TQ gains are unreal, even at 1,900rpm.
And the pull up top is typical centrifugal awesomeness.

I know that they have been testing it at MUCH MUCH higher HP levels then my 5.3L will ever see.
I have seen cars already making 650-700+ rwhp on other forums with the i-1. Camaros and Mustangs mostly. (Cam and E85)

The i-1 has electronic "safety" features built into it to keep it safe.
Pretty neat stuff actually, but that could be a whole post in itself.

But in a nutshell, its electronically limited to 80,000rpm ProCharger stated.
So even if a person keeps trying to turn it up past that, it will just stop at that RPM.
I have no idea what kinda HP that equates to, but the idea of "overspinning it" doesn't exist.

Soon as I can post the dynos I will, however here is a teaser.

In for results. Good looking truck!

Nice looking truck

Does this use a centrifugal clutch/pulley size like snow mobiles use?
