Hmmm I wonder if that would eliminate some slip.. It isn't really adding a grip, but removing surface.. I dunno.. A lighter pulley is great but it doesn't lighting the load of the blower.. What do you think Rick??

BTW what vortec valve are you running the MAX or MONDOO

It looks like a copy of the Reichard racing pulleys which have a pretty good reputation. Too much grip and the belt gets tore up pretty fast.

I can't imagine the lightening really adding any HP but it does look good.

I'm running the vortech Race Bypass (max). The mondo is an overkill and i've read that it doesn't react as quickley/smoothly as the Race. I've seen 2500HP Race Cars using one Mondo so I think they are designed for the big boys. I know Rick over at Synergy uses a Race on his 850 RWHP shop truck so I imagine they flow plenty of air.

If your thinking of getting a Vortech Race Bypass (which I highly recomend), use this adapter. It's half the cost of getting a flange and having it weld to your pipes:

Damn awsome link. I am infact looking at the max's rite now.. I just want to hear the sound of it(kinda like a BOV) It def makes a sound correct?? I will def pic that flange up. I could make one and weld it up but hell for 5 bucks it is worth it... Damn you for the links, I am going to try one of them pulleys for *****, it seems to me like I am still slipping the belt some, now I have to buy a bypass..

It sounds killer. I have it at the lightest setting (you want it to open ASAP when just cruising to reduce the blower load on the engine) and it is sounds off anytime your under the slightest boost and let off. Sounds exactly the same as a BOV. Definetely a head turner without being too annoying.

I was thinking the same thing but I couldn't remember who you picked up up from.

Have you seen any extra and/or excessive wear using that style of pulley?

I don't seem to have any slip and no more wear than with the smooth pulley. Belt dust is not any more than before either.
