I used to use tr6 s on my Z28 when spraying, is this what we use for the 5.3s and sts? What gap you running? Anyone got long tubes with their sts?

 

TR6s and 30-35 for gap. You may have to move a step colder depending on how much boost you are running (I still run TR6s at 15psi).

I run bassani "optimal length" (i.e. mid length) headers. Long tubes would be a detriment imo -- too much heat loss.

 

Sell your lts and use the money for gauges , tuning , or something that better suits your new direction. You made a FUN choice. Welcome to the butturbo club

 

I have the long tubes with the entire exhaust wrapped, seems to work great.

 

I have some used tr-6's. You want me to ship them down too

 

Yeah, I'm still using the tr6's gaped at 35.
