Default plugs

Hey guys just wondering what you think the life off a set of plugs is. I am running the ngk tr6. Have about 10k on them and have had some lean driving on them due to tuning issues. The truck has been ideling a little funny here lately, figured I would start here. Thanks Nick

ya, I change mine pretty often. granted mine is not a dd, but I dont put many miles on them between changes. fresh plugs seem to clean it up a little every time. Good place to start.

You think headers shorten the life of the plugs?

I like to put new plugs in my truck every 10K, its not that my truck needs new plugs at all and im sure tons of people here will think im crazy and wasting money but its cheap insurence for me to read the plugs every 10k and see how my engine is running, I have access to a auto shop (where i work) so a plug change with my usual oil change only takes and hour or so, pluse we have this really nice expensive bore scoop tool that allows me to look into my cylinders and it flex's almost 180 degrees so i can even look at my valves. The TR6 plugs i run only cost me like $2 a plug and i bought 6 sets cuz they fit both my trucks and my dads truck. for oem application some of the cars at my work call for plug change at 100k or 5 years witch ever comes first.

I also change my plugs every 10k miles. Its a good thing to read your plugs to see how its running.
