The intake temps will be higher and hot restarts will be unhappy. There is also some noticeable loss in low end. It looks cool though.

Yea hot restarts are a bitch. I can't get my tune to not peg the wideband lean on hot restarts.

Have you played with the IAT/ECT bias in the tune? I increased the bias towards the ECT at the lowest air flow and hot starts got better, but not perfect. I may just try and max it out to full ECT bias at that lowest air flow to see if that helps. EFI live also has a parameter to change fueling based on IAT.

But this is all hacking the tune not solving the underlying issue. I plan to relocate the IAT to the front bumper.

Yea I tuned it both ways just to play and see what happened. Drove it for a week on both tunes and still had the same issue. Found it was best to keep it pretty much stock.

Moving the sensor is still not fixing the issue, its just not looking at where the problem is. The issue is the intake heats up the air inside it much more than the factory plastic manifold. Theres no way to fix that, bit there are a few ways you can deal with that in the tune.

Correct, however, I do believe the sensor itself heatsoaks to a degree. In my case, IATs are pretty irrelevant when running ethanol and moving the sensor to the intercooler/bumper area would get it out from the underhood oven.

If IATs are pretty irrelevant then why are you worried about it?

So what would make my intake leak like this? Its only on 9lbs, I know people are running alot more on these plastic manfolds. I'm actually considering just buying another plastic intake because it looks like the Holley doesnt work with the NNBS style MAP sensor.
