First of all bare with me on the long post lol
I dont really make that many posts but ive been addicted to this site since i found it while on gmfullsize.com. My plans for my truck are, Trick turbo kit ( my lowmount kit is being built as you read this), 3.73's, 4l80e( after my 60 takes a crap), meth injection (already started on custom stainless tank last night),255lph walboro, 60lb injectors, ls6 or gt2-3 cam.

I have been scavenging this site for every bit of knowledge i can so if i repeat a question im sorry.
Im planning on running a pipe through a cat and tuning out the rear 02's, anyone in the houston area deleted their cats and passed inspection? If so where?
I know the 4l60e cant take power , but ballpark figure how long has anyones truck lasted with only 7psi of boost without any add-ons to the trans?
Im only wanting to run 7lbs until i get a 4l80 under my truck, is a 60lb injector going to be overkill on this setup?

When the 4l80e is in i want to runa dual stage boost controller and have it set for 7lbs and 12lbs, will it is be as easy as getting my truck tuned for meth and 14lbs then flip the switch 7lbs and then the tune will change with it, or is this just wishful thinking?

If you are required to pass a sniffer test during the inspection, then its not likely going to pass. If you are set on removing the cats, then I'd suggest having an extra set of off-road piped built to run instead of the cat pipes. When it comes time for your yearly inspection, you swap in your stock cat pipes and have it inspected. If you are outside the county in an area that doesn't require full smog testing, then you might be able to get by without the cats using tuning software. Another alternative is find someone who will inspect your vehicle for an additional fee if you know what I mean.

Adding a shift kit and servo to your transmission will help keep it alive longer. Knowing that you have a somewhat weak 4L60, you can prolong its life by not beating on it too often. Don't constantly do huge burnouts or hard launches and limit your full throttle high rpm shifts to a minimum. Enjoy your truck and turbo without killing it every time you drive it.

Good call on doing the 60 lb injectors the first time. I wish I had done that instead of the 42s. Good luck staying at 7 lbs, that boost is addictive and my guess is you will be at 12 lbs waiting for the trans to blow up. That is what I am going to be doing.

I think you have a good handle on what you want and how you are going to achieve it. I don't think it is overkill and think you will be happy with your project the way you have it planned out. I would say that you upgrade to the bigger turbo from the start. Take the initial cost up front and be done with it.

What year truck, what engine, and regular, extended, or CC?

Truck is a 2wd 2006 extended cab 5.3, bone stock with g80 and 3.23.
