I need to dig up my #7 carnage pics.... The head was destroyed. Looks like you got pretty lucky.

Don' see anything wrong with that. The ventilated piston will help with cooling the cylinder. Go for it.

its ring gap, number seven has cooling problems and it makes the rings come together and touch, then it busts the ringland, everytime.... but like the other guy said, there are no definitive answers for why it happens, just theories

Yep TH400 with a TH375 output shaft
