Don' see anything wrong with that. The ventilated piston will help with cooling the cylinder. Go for it.

 

Damn I cringe every time I see ole number 7 go bye bye... Are you really running a 400 turbo in your truck??

 

its ring gap, number seven has cooling problems and it makes the rings come together and touch, then it busts the ringland, everytime.... but like the other guy said, there are no definitive answers for why it happens, just theories
