Default Performance Suggestions,, FI Experts Inside Please

I am currently runing 12.5-12.6 range but I can't seem to break into the low 12's. I wondering if the 2.8" pulley is generating to much heat at the end of my runs. My IAT's jump to 150 at my 2-3 shift point.

Is this just the nature of the beast running the radix?

I was wondering how much a meth kit would help control this rise in IAT.

I am also planning on the 90mm TB modification.

Looking for suggestions that will help control temps and get me solidly and consistantly into the low 12's.

Thanks in advance for any input.

I doubt you will hit any better then a 12.35 with those additions. Unfortunately the little radix is out of steam, maybe consider the 122 upgrade, that should get you into the 11s. As you will see time and again with radix charged trucks they hit a brick wall at mid 12s, unfortunately they just cant flow the CFM to get you going any faster in our heavy trucks.

Meth won't really help those IAT's either, I ran it with and without on a 2.8 pulley and it maybe made a 10-15* difference.

I thought that upgrading to the 122 would require beefing up the bottom end? I'm still running stock internals except the cam & springs.

it depends on how much boost you will be pushing through it

I'd like to keep it below the need for forged internals. Will the defeat the purpose of the 122?

how much boost do you have now

no the 122 upgrade will spin not nearly as fast to get the same effect and therefore less heat

you will need a bigger pulley for the 122 cuz a 2.8 pulley would be too much for what you are wanting

ive always heard that about 8-10psi is about the limit for the gen3 stock bottom end

The limits of the stock bottom end aren't boost dependent - they are HP dependent. That being said, I don't know what the limits are.....

But...check out WildeRacing....he has a mid-low 11 STS truck on a stock bottom end, I think he is pushing close to 15 psi with a 6.0
