i ran 18psi on my best run and an average of about 22psi for my best dyno numbers. the day i made my best run i hooked like mad and the weather was great. i didn't want to break into the nines that day i made my best run because i didn't want to get kicked out of drag week so i didnt try and push it.

now that is over and i have turned it up but haven't seen as good of weather or traction and have not been able to do any better.

You are in dire need of a tire that will wrinkle. I would seriously consider leaving it 4wd so you can have fun on the street but just set up the rear with some M/T ET streets or ET street radials and running it in 2wd. I would strongly bet that you could get it to hook with some 90/10 shocks on the front, adjustable rear shocks, disconnecting front sway bar to allow the front end to rise better, and Caltracs. There are plenty of other tricks like adding a little weight in the rear of the bed, cranking the torsion bars to raise the front end a little for better transfer etc. The rear may have a problem staying together though. I'd still just put in a stout 9" or 12 bolt with the leaf springs. Keep it simple and affordable. A set of rear leafs custom made from Landrum with a softer rate may help it squat, or removing the heavy short lower leaf for towing could help. Just some ideas of what I may consider doing if it was me. Take it as you'd like. To each his own

Parish, I saw your truck in the Dragweek article, awesome stuff. I love that you won the smallblock power adder divison. I would love to participate in Dragweek, but I want to be quicker if I did.

Your truck is an inspiration, your truck is the ultimate sleeper, just a simple 2wd burnout then all of a sudden 10's show on the scoreboard.

Could you maybe use the same turbo on say a 427 and squeeze a 9?? I guess you wouldnt want a hwhole new shortblock just to hit a 9.

I am just happy that I can run something other than a 19 lb/hr injector with my new intake manifold for my Vortec 350 and you are in the 10's, that just goes to show how much these trucks have advanced. I will eventually get into the lower ET brackets, but I have so much more technical limits to overcome. The injector hurdle is now overcome, next stepp is beating teh PCM imposed 5800 rpm limit. The stock limiter is set at 5600 rpm, no tuner in North America can get an L31 Vortec to rev over 5800 rpm with the stock PCM. I raised it from 5600 to 5800 rpm with my Tunercat OBD2 software but the injectors go to a 0.0 pulsewidth at 5800 rpm. This really sucks.

Keep up teh good work Parish, all of North America is watching your progress.

peace

More cubes will not help the matter he needs more compressor, so no a 427 will not cut it. Also do not worry you will see a stock short block L31 go 10's at 5000lbs.
