Default Paint for Hot Pipes?

Anyone used rattle can exhaust/bbq paint on their hot pipes? If so what did you use and how has it held up?

The log manifold I'm getting is mild steel and I would like to paint/coat it then wrap it. And maybe paint the turbine housing too. My work is about 1/8 mile from the beach and things rust faster than normal.

Jot Hot wants $500 for just the log manifold

I anticipate I will be removing the kit every two years or so (for smog) and can repaint the rewrap the parts then.

They screwed up, they thought I was doing two log manifolds. It is $260 for the manifold shipped. I think I still might go with some high temp paint and wrap.

If you coat it, you will still need to wrap it to keep the heat in and to keep the underhood temps down. Just spray it and wrap it

That's my plan. I will be removing the kit every two years and can repaint them then. Any particular brand of high temp paint you guys recommend?
