Hey man, im just here to serve my fellow modders. I put myself through the trials and tribulations so you wont have to. TieRod, ask away dude. I will answer what i can. I actualy considered selling this thing at one point and getting a half ton so i could go faster......but when i went in the garage she gave me that sad look and i couldnt do it, we've been through so much together...LOL.

After i get this I/C, remind me to tell you guys a secret, i think you will appreciate it....

This also comes with a 1/4" smaller pulley (from 3" - 2.75"). So i will have a few extra pulleys laying around here, i may put them up in the classifieds later. I have a 3", (2) 2.75's, and a 2-5/8". I will probably get rid of the 3" and one of the 2.75's. I will let you guys know.

Looking over the intercooler instructions for the Whipple intercooler (pages 27 -31) here

http://www.pasadenatownhall.com/8100.html

they have me installing the heat exchanger under the bumper area. I dont have openings in my bumper like the GMC guys do, so i was wondering if i would be better off getting some longer hose and mounting that sucker right in front of the A/C condensor behind the grill? That way it would always have the clutch fan pulling air across it. My other option would be to fasten an EFan to it, if anyone has a link to various size EFans.

If you have room around that monstrous radiator to run some lines definately put it up there.

Yes, yes, I know....i am trying to install it before it even gets here...blah, blah, blah. I am looking over the install directions and it is telling me that when i install the new whipple discharge adapter and intake manifold inlet flange.....that i should use 518 loctite sealer. When i installed the flange the first time i used Permatex Ultra Black gasket maker. I have not had any issues with it, but not sure why they want me to use the loctite now. Why could i not use a standard throttle body gasket there, do the stock gaskets not work well in boosted applications? What are your thoughts on the two products? The loctite seems to have a lower operating range (-50* - 300*)than the permatex (-75* - 600*).

You must have changed one of your posts, I thought you said that you expected your intercooler on Tuesday. Or has my memory progressed from improving my past, to changing the internet? Anyway, it's almost Tuesday.

yea man! Tracking says it should be in tomorrow. Hopefully have it installed this weekend... . Still looking for any suggestions to the couple of questions I asked a few posts ago, but other than that I am ready to roll. I really am hoping for a good reduction in IATs (not as goodas the DMax obviously), even though I know pretty much nothing about this I/C other than its A2W and its from Whipple. I could not get any core or heat Xchanger info or research data about the unit. Im hoping to get down to about 10*-20* above ambient cruising and 50* or so above ambient after the 1/4 mile. Anything has got to be better than the 225* i see now after a 1/4 mile run in 65* ambient temps. Whipple has me mounting the heat Xchanger below the bumber but I dont have cut outs like the GMC's have, so i am going to try and get that sucker behind the grill so its always got air going across it. Cant wait to get some IAT numbers and bump that timing up a little....at least get it over 12* @ WOT like i have now...

I will post up some pics when it comes in tomorrow!

Also, can anyone point me in the direction of a good reservoir tank? Battery sized or there about, preferably around $100 or less? The whipple reservoir is pretty small.
