Default Oil return

I am trying to figure out where to drill and tap the oil pan for the oil return on a turbo, I am building a motor/trans combo but don't have a truck yet to put it in. I am planning on buying a 2000-2004 2500HD to put it in, I just want to make sure I don't run into clearance issues.

you have to drill the motor pan not the trans pan for the turbo oil return and this is where i did it, right above the oil sensor

I did mine right in the front of the pan next to/under the crank pulley

Mine is right above the oil level sensor too, but about 3/4" higher than shown in the pic above. Works fine with a -10 return line.

Mine is right on the front of the pan to the drivers side of the crank pulley.
