anytime that sensor gets a cel it will pull alot of timing. i unplugged the one on my buddies 4.3l turbo and it would barely even run. i turned the cel off via tune and it runs just fine. are you referring to the woo woo woo sound that a turbo makes if you have no BOV? last i checked that not the wastegate its the turbine blades trying to go the wrong way.

He has a Tial that came with the STS if I'm not mistaken and they set their springs stiff so they have the turkey call effect. If that's stuck it's still not gonna affect his power so much but will ruin his turbo bearings and his lag will increase when getting back on the throttle after a WOT burst.

Found the Problem, actually Brian (I think his screen name is Turbo8) found the problem. Went by his house tonight to check things up before the GTG. I knew that I had a no pipes loose and I still had boost. Did a vacuum check on the wastegate this weekend and the diagphragm sounded like it worked. Did notice that my Vacuum was a little low. Its usually at 20-25 cruising at 55mph but it was 18-10 lately. Brian looked underneath the truck and he saw in the corner of the intercooler a 3" long gash at the seam. I let my father in law borrow my truck last week and he brings it back like this, tisk tisk tisk. Well what can I say, gotta get it welded and checked. I guess the gash was losing pressure and neither the wastegate or the BOV was operating. I can't believe I didn't see it when I checked the intercooler before. Oh well.

Anyone know who can repair this and pressure check the intercooler asap!!?
