Looks awesome! Any reason why you didn't fit the intercooler higher up? Looks like you could have gotten more of the core behind the grill but not sure if something else prevented this?

I wanted to keep it hidden every so slighty but i didnt want to block the trans cooler as well. I have the bumper with a air slot in that i am putting on and creating a air duck to go to the whole cooler after im done. You think it will be a problem like it is?

In reality your hood latch assembly is already blocking a lot of that trans cooler. I would raise the intercooler above the bumper and lower the trans cooler until it is no longer behind the latch assembly. They will work together.

OR raise the intercooler and move the trans cooler to the bottom where the new slotted bumper will be.

I had my trans cooler 100% blocked by my 4" intercooler and it worked way better than being below it behind the bumper. Highest I saw was about 160 with it behind the intercooler, and about 190 behind the bumper.

The cooler as it sits will be directly in the middle of the slot of the bumper once installed I already have all the ic piping done so don't plan to change it. I'm gunna be running meth as well so it shouldn't be a problem anyways

The intercooler acts as mostly just a heat sink in these type of turbo setups anyway so minimal air flow is really all it needs. Turbo air going though it is only hot when your in full boost. The rest of the time, it's just slightly above ambient and cooling the intercooler down from the inside. My personal truck has the intercooler in the lower valance with only the factory 2"x20" opening across the bottom of it and the rest is blocked off and I've never had a problem with IAT's even with high boost.

Looks good man! I'm wanting to do this to mine. Really interested to see torque numbers and where it comes in at!

Good info KB. Any good links for anything more on that topic? As far as WHY the air isn't hot in this setup, verses other setups? Just for taking notes sake.

Continue with the pictures Man!
