Well they didn't tune it because of the drive shaft. Taking it back on Tuesday thoo, hopefully everything goes good!

Yea I had to replace the drive shaft and one injector the previous "tuner" installed was leaking bad but my new tuner fixed that and tuned the truck. It's running good now just on very low boost at 5#. Since it's on 3 kit gotta change the wastegate, move the bov, and put a camaro maf. New tuner needs me to cam it to raise the boost, just not sure if it's worth putting a cam into a 4.8 or just going big for a 6.0🤔🤔

If the MAF sensor is already a card style MAF, there is no reason to upgrade it. Going to a camaro MAF isn't going to change anything as they would both still be card style MAF's. You should still have plenty of room on the table in a 3in pipe to keep going up in boost. If you get close to the limit just install the MAF in a larger 3.5in intake pipe.

As for the boost, you can slam the 4.8 with 10-15lbs on the stock cam and make good power. Needing a cam to raise the boost is a dumb comment on his end.

its not a card style that's why he wants me to change it. Yeah that's what I thought even if on a on3 kit I thought I would at least be able to get 8-10lbs. Gonna change the maf and move bov so he can tune it using the maf since it's on speed density right now. He didn't want to do a retune without a cam or at least springs but hopefully I can convince him to raise the boost to get 450rwhp. Till I find a 6.0 with a 4l80 and start working on that

Changing out the wastegate to a precision, would I hurt the motor if I put the 9lb spring if it was tuned on the 5-6lb on3 spring wastegate?

It's not worth the risk, it could lean out and hurt something if you are not tuned for extra boost.
