New Set up - what do you think
#31
Small Update:
Went to my home track last night and ran some 1/8mile. Launched with 2lbs of boost and spun to a 7.00 @ 103.3 with 1.74 60ft. We went over log and my serpentine belt slung off around 87 mph and dropped my voltage. My goal was a 6.99 but I swear I'm cursed when it comes to drag racing. DA was 5300 and in heat I guess it's not too bad. I'm thinking of changing to 3.73 or 3.42 gears because it is hard to hook 4.10's under boost.

make adjustments to suspension. play with shocks and settings along with placement of them. pinion angle, weight of 4 corners of truck. all this huge after affects on traction. His 408 on 2 psi isnt making alot of power off the line, once its up on the compressor is when his power shines. Skeet is good example, ppl said he had to much gear before and said run more tire. funny with playing with chassis he went from having issues to pulling 1.5s again with the big gears.
If tarinitup can get the 410s to work for him he will be better off on the 60's being a truck. Later on when he cranks it up to 25psi then a gear swap might be in order or a progressive boost controller like a AMS 500 or ams 1000 where he can ramp his boost in t ocontrol traction issues
gearing here isnt the problem

Telling you I'm cursed but your truck can/will be the next 10 sec extended cab. I got it down to 11.0 on 15lbs. The day before I was scheduled to tear it down I up'd boost to 18 lbs and felt way better. They cancelled the track due to a little sprinkles during the day and it never even rained at night. Always had the power to run 10's but things never clicked all at once.

That's exactly how I feel but gears are cheaper than a 4 link. I'm trying to convince myself to be satisfied with 10's and not go breaking something in search for 9's. Besides with my luck I would probably hit a 10.00 anyhow.

absolutely no need for a 4-link...get some nice adjustable shocks, set it up similar to txsilverado, some cal-tracs or smith racecraft bars...no need for the 4link

I diddn't know Smith made traction bars for trucks...or are you modifying the car ones...They do make nice stuff!

i dont think 4 link is necessary on a RCSB. flocos lil sis is running on a flip kit and cal-tracs and hooking great! 15" rims and mickey T tires make a HUGE difference over 28" hoosiers.
