Talking New Radix Project(8rib conversion)........w/pics :)

Here's my latest Radix upgrade project.

Full 8rib blower(serpentine) belt conversion. In addition to that I will be switching to a 8" diameter crank pulley vs. the stock 7.5" diameter. Couple that with a 2.8" 8rib blower pulley and I will have the Radix's max rpm potential spinning @ approx 18,500 blower rpm @ 6500 engine rpm
I will not immediately jump into using the 2.8" blower pulley along with the 8" crank pulley for obvious reasons. Initially I will utilize a 3.2" blower pulley with the 8" crank pulley for ease of transition and tuning availability. LOL, I guess I forgot to let Crash Dummy know about the new change. When spinning the Radix that high and at the power levels it produces, historically, belt slip issue's have been associated when using a 6 rib belt. It will also eliminate any transient belt slip I may have at my current boost/power level. So in essence I am taking some preventative measures/while upping total blower rpm potential in the name of building as bullet proof of a setup as I possibly can.

How do I plan on keeping my blower discharge temps cool? Well you didn't think I wanted a 90mm Corvette LS2 throttle body for nothing did ya? That alone will help with any increase in IAT's. Oh and by the way, since that WCCH conversion flange is so conveniently a full 1" thick; sure makes a nice mounting point for a Nitrous nozzle or Meth nozzle to further cool things down
so that's the story folks, that's what I've been working on lately, here's some pics to wet your whistles

8 rib blower pulleys, alt pulley, tensioner pulley, and power steering pulley.

as you all might remember, I completed a dual 8rib 100mm idler pulley replacement some time ago, that will remain in place

lastly: The Radix Blower will still push good air @ 18500. I just don't know exactly how much heat I will be dealing with ahead of time because I am factoring in alot of unknowns at once. As I eluded to earlier I will run the 8" crank pulley, 3.2" blower pulley, and 90mm TB first, evaluate the results, and determine what measures I will need employ. The 8"/3.2" arrangement will produce slightly more boost than the 7lbs I am running now.
