Damn you are hard on ****! Yeah I don't beat on my **** like that, thats like child abuse, lol. I do tow a 24ft. enclosed trailer with my streetrod in it 6-8000lbs. , 100 deg. heat . also up through the hills in the rockies above 10,000 ft. This is my DD / tow vehicle. Im not saying the paxton is a bad unit, Im sure its great! Has to be better than my procharger was. At the same boost levels my turbo blows the procharger out of the water at my elevation.
I just try to compare my turbo to the centrifical i used to have.
the centrificals are rpm based, my procharger made 10 psi @ 5200 rpm, where I can make that with the turbo @ 3000. I can also make 10 psi right out of the hole brake stalling.
and no a turbo is not the only way to make power
Im not knocking you setup, it definately looks badass.
everybody has their preference.

Was too much for the truck...thats goin in my 55 chevy. My trailer is past 8K I road race, so I have 2-3 sets of tires not on the car, tools, jacks, stands, bbq grill, ramps, tons of lil things that you might windup needing. I wanted a turbo diesel, wasn't happening......got stuck with this lil smallblock gasser...it handles the trailer much better than the tahoe, but that 502 just yanked that thing like there was no tommorrow. You have to realize i'm towing an enclosed keeping up on the highway with a caravan of vette buddies who DRIVE their cars
Well until they get really stupid, but everyone still laughs about the time I let them get a head start and passed them at triple digits with the tahoe screaming at the top of its lungs (dual 3 inch with free flow borlas...its a lil loud) I was afraid of underhood heat with a turbo on extended loads.....Maggie was top on the list, but my buddies swore up and down this would do the trick....I switched the street vette from turbos to a blower and love it...so I'm leaving it in their hands this time, I've had everything in cars turbos, juice, blowers, na etc. Love the turbos but they've really gotten these blowers outright reliable. They made their name for themselves redesigning ati's pathetic kit for C5's. I have another buddy selling his ATI kit from his avalanche to put this paxton on it...yet another 24 ft trailer victim.

http://media.gm.com/us/powertrain/en...uck/08_LY6.xls
dyno
http://media.gm.com/us/powertrain/en...erraHD_SAE.pdf
fuel cutoff was listed as 6000, stock shift point was 5300 or 5400 rpms....we're shifting it around 5600-5700 now.
