Default Need some Ideas

I want to use the Trick stg 3 kit for my 03 silverado 4.8. single cab step side.

I have a set of SDPC 5.3 ported heads with dual valve springs, arp head studs, ls7 lifters, and ls6 oil pump that I can use if it would net me anymore.

I need to know what would be a good cam for the 4.8 for boost that still has some lope to it. I have a Lunatti Voodoo cam 227.232 .584.584 on a 113 also if this would work with what im planning.

Id like to see 500rwhp out of it.

Im thinking some 60lbers and a 340 pump would be fine, ls9 gaskets and some methanol.

Ive already done the 80e swap once on my crew cab, so ill be making that move again, with a 3k stall, tru trac, with my stock 3.42's. or should I change gears to 3.73s?

Id like to have solid 11 second truck.

Thanks for your help

I have comp cam 224/230 on 114 in my 348ci and it has quite good lope with my Varex muffler open. It just happend that I have it in the short block from previous Camaro project.

I also have brand new Isky triple 12 for real sleeper truck that I was thinking to swap. But I am holding it for future build.

Your cam might be a little large for 4.8L.

And 60 injectors and 340 pump will be fine. Make sure you get the pump harness from racetronix. That pump will draw current and will need the harness to perform.

I have the 340 and harness in my truck and it's doing great at 571rwhp. I have 79Ibs injectors, though. But your 60Ibs injectors will be good for your goal.

Thanks again man. I may just go bigger injector in case I plan on running 15lbs at a high point. I would like 12lbs daily driver, should be just fine. I have a built ls1, but its got the 5.3 heads with ls1 valves. I would just drop it in, but im not sure how much boost. If it will take 8-9lbs I would just maybe turbo it instead because I just built the damn thing. But the truck has the 4.8 and they have proven themselves.

What all was done to your 4.8? I have a built up ls1, but its at 11:1, and i didnt want to use it with a turbo. If I can get by with 8-9 lbs, i figure it would still make great power. The 4.8 in the truck is pretty low mileage and figured it would also be a good choice. Thanks
