i have the 8.1 in my truck and i just done twin t3 t4 hybrid set up on it and i am having problem with the computer. The reduced power comes on the display and the truck will only idle.I going to get the hp tuner but i dont know if there are different ones or if they are all the same.

Do you have the allison transmission? Maybe you are putting it into limp mode because you are trying to put too much power through it. If so you will need to have the trans built up and the control program changed.

I would ask the guys under the Duramax forum in the GM section as well. Maybe they will have a better explanation for you.

 

Its not getting a chance to make any power it is see 1 lb shutting down.
