Need advice (FI fuel upgrades)
#1
Going with a front mount from trick on a 6.2L L9H daily driver, planning to boost 10# on stock motor for now and needing some advice on fuel upgrades (injectors&fuel pump)
I was looking at the Bosch ev14 80lb injectors from Fic and a Walbro 255lph
I will also be doing some motor mods in the next few months so looking for something to leave me some growing room

Is your truck a flex fuel truck? For most 6.2l, the 255 is a downgrade. In all honesty, no one has figured out a good drop in pump more capable than the factory flex fuel one. A few guys have proven that 500 rwhp is sustainable on the factory flex fuel pump. Rumor is the warlboro 450 is a drop in, but no one here has done it yet. Plus you have the factory FPCM to contend with.

We also are running Meth injection but its only set to first (1) setting (really really low). My AFR was good and it appears we have room to push to about 12lbs before maybe running out of pump. To upgrade the fuel pump setup will be very involved but Im sure we will get there at some point this year if I want to push past 12lbs.
I will tell you that anything above 8lbs of boost will be "very risky" for your stock pistons , if you are planning on running the stock pistons. Many other posts on this forum will describe how weak they really are, they are after all cast hypereutectic garbage. I know some have gone to 10lbs with no issues but I thought you should at least know it could happen at any time. We hurt a few pistons on our build and just decide to upgrade to forged pistons, and we did the rods too. At this point with this setup , ls9 cam, and good tuning we stopped at 10lbs and 619rwhp..
We are going to 12lbs in July and retuning..I think we can hit 650...
