NBS Chevy FMIC Setup help

I want to do a FMIC setup on my truck but am having trouble finding a bumper/valence setup that would allow me to do this. My valence is the standard chevy valence on an 02' with tow hooks and fog lights. I can't find a valence for my chevy bumper that has a cut out in the center to allow airflow needed for the FMIC setup. Everything I am finding through searches is for a GMC or Denali bumper, which has numerous valences that will work. :bang:

Does anyone run a FMIC on a 99'-02', and if so could you please post pics? Thanks

I think a z71 tahoes one, with the inserts cut out will work

Correct. Just do a search for "Tahoe valance" and some posts should come up. There has been quite a few pictures posted over the years.

Don't let the valance hold up your install. Even without the additional openings, the new FMIC location will be more efficient. It a pretty low-pressure area behind the bumper so it will get a good amount of airflow.

Ok I found it... It's not a tahoe valance; It came on 2003 3500 silverado's and is called a Deflector. GM# 15709110 on gmpartsdirect

Here is a helpful thread with pics for anyone needing the same info in the future. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...hlight=Valance

The truck in that picture is an 01, and he said it came stock on it. In 03 they had the newer style front end.

Your correct, idk why I put 03'. Regardless, it fits 99-02 front ends and that is the correct part #.
