The LS7's aren't really designed by GM for big boost.

as in LS2 or LS3 cars and LS7 cars on stock motors.......the LS2's/LS3's can actually make more horsepower via boost than the LS7's untouched. (usually around 600/600 on Z06's with meth, and upwards of 700 on untouched LS2's on the edge, LS3's they haven't had anyone that nuts yet)

Nice, but they had to mess it up with the MSD coils......Yuck.

yeah its setup for road race Reese the owner is or was a professional racer. Road atlanta very close to his shop.

It probably is a purpose built LS7, but even a stock LS7 shouldn't have a problem making those numbers with a cam change an 6psi of boost. Due to the compression I wouldn't want to put more than 6psi to an LS7 either. High compression and low boost does work out well though for power numbers and drivability.

I had the same thought for the coils.

This car smoked the track record @ Road Atlanta this past weekend. Note this was a TEST for the car and an actual race, not bad for a TEST.

Track Record: 1.271
New Record: 1.257

1.4 seconds better!
