MP122HH + new cam SICK!!!
Got the tune dialed in makes 10psi. Breaks the tires loose at 60 at 1/3 throttle. Launches hard. Burned the 20's through first. Second try when it hit second blew the rear planetary. Time for a 4L80. The motor runs awesome thanks Magnacharger!!! I can't wait to get it fixed and to the track.

5600 for TVS, 1800 to buy the parts to do this. So for the money I wanted to go this route first. It ran so good I'm not even that worked up that I blew the rear planetary. Unfortunately if I am now breaking GM 5 gear planetaries I don't think there much left for this upgraded 4L65. I might go back into the torque management untill I can fab up a crossmember.

My "built" 4L65 didn't fare too well behind the 122. And I don't beat on it constantly. 4L80 with shift kit handles it without complaint. What cam did you go with? Edit: Let me guess........cam specs are secret?
Edit again! Found the specs. 218-232/about .570 lift on a 117LSA. I have a similar setup (without the ported heads). I had a 220/.581/115 LSA cam and I couldn't get more than 7.5 psi. Switched to an LS6 cam and I can get 9.5 on a nice cool morning and it seems to be stronger top to bottom. I will swap the cam if I knew of something better. This might be it. Have you tried any other cams with the 122?

Hey Chris we don't all have your money!!!. Buy me a trans lol. Torque managemwnt is for cheap a$$es!!!!. As far as cams go I have had GT2-3 GT-7 and a Comp 54-444-11. This is by far the best cam I've used with forced induction. Other more radical cams may give more horsepower but I think the wider LSA and lower lift and large split = more torque. That I think is better with 5600+ Lbs just ask my trans lol. Unless you have L92 heads the lift is not really doing anything but stressing your valve train. These heads pretty much are done flow wise at .550 lift and again bigger valves and bigger ports = lost low end torque.
