Same material, Same thickness,Just retianing more material for more heat absorbtion. Phenolic is hard to cut, so cutting less is easy on the tools.

IMO, it seems this combined with a decent sized heat exchanger would be the magic combo for the guys who are having issues with high IATs.

Going to bring this back from the dead, Ray you stated the spacer with more material worked better? Wouldnt the added material effectively cut down on the added volume that you were shooting for? Just wondering which worked better, the second looked much easier to cut. I am going to do 5/8 on mine. Thanks man
