Default methanol ?s

Alright guys I think I am about to buy myself a christmas present. I have been wanting a meth kit for a while. I am wandering if I will be able to get away without a tune, due to the fact that right now I am running high 11s at wot. I would like to turn the boost up and hope that the meth will balance things out so my afrs are mid 11s. Running 7psi hoping for around 10psi.. Here is the kit I am looking at.

NON-Sponsor link removed <--- It was a snow performance kit.

Here is my take. I would suggest buying tuning software for your x-mas gift. Theoretically you can run methanol without a tune, especially if you mix 50/50 at which point the methanol/water is no longer a fuel, but ONLY a cooling agent. However, if you plan on using the meth as a a/f buffer you will most likely need to adjust your fueling in the pcm to some degree...

In my experience it is very hard to get a meth injection system like the one you are looking at to perfectly integrate with the factory fuel system. The pump and nozzles are just to crude of a delivery system. All of this doesn't mean you should avoid meth injection systems, they work good. "They are what they are" I just expect too much at times I guess. also have you checked out Julio at ALKYcontrol? I'm more impressed with his kit than snows stuff....

Agreed, tuning software would be a good move. Costs about the same as Julio's kit anyway. When you're ready to dump that amount of money into your truck again, you should know the ropes of tuning enough to not have to run untuned.
