Default meth/water reservoir

I hear of some folks putting their 50/50 mix of meth/water in their windshield washer reservoir. Then the cluster light cuts on when you're low. I also hear (despite it costing a little more), they continue to use it for cleaning the windshield. How many folks do that? Is it safe or harsh on body paint? The owner of Snow Performance said he runs a 75 meth 25 water mix and uses it on his windshield for cleaning. I know some windshield washing fluids come with like 40% meth. Comments?

I haven't been able to run my meth setup alot...just once...I'll be back up and running soon but mine is in the resevoir. Haven't heard of damage to paint...alcohol evaporates pretty damn quick, so I'd imagine in the rain you shouldn't worry. On a bug infested night, maybe a thought, but like you already point out...window washer fluid is already part methanol.

I have been running my meth this way I love it I always now when I about to run out of meth and it has never messed up my paint. I'm running a 50/50 mix right now and it saves space for other stuff under your hood and the tank is pretty big.

Yea I like the idea of having a low fluid dummy light. I have just always thought the paint could get damaged. Any specific nipple fitting work well? I guess this will be one my Christmas holiday projects.
