meth messing with wideband reading
#1
anyone have trouble with this? im using -35 washer fluid right now( about 40% meth) just had fuel taken out of the tune and its reading richer at WOT than before. its an aem gauge maybe 1500 miles on the sensor.

^^ i do know about meth having a different stoich than gas but my afr gauge is showing 10:1 when i go WOT when i just had fuel taken out of the tune to compensate for the meth. i was driving around for a few weeks getting it set up before i got any adjustments made in the tune, it seemed to be ok but i did notice a few times it would go lean when i was WOT with meth spraying.

yes..it was only one or two times that it jumped from mid 10's to 12.5 at WOT before getting the re-tune. this was running no additional boost or timing, just getting things set up and testing. before the afr's were always in the 11-11.5 range with no meth. i did the "test" there is for aem gauges that i found on youtube, it passed but i don't know if that means anything.

Don't AEM widebands have a self-calibrating feature? It might not be calibrated correctly... The symptoms you're talking about are completely opposite of what you'd expect when using meth lol.

yea they do. i dug out my instructions for it to see if theres anything i can re-calibrate but can't. i just ordered one of those new innovate mtx ones, guess i'll see how that goes, i've been wanting a different one for awhile and now i have an my excuse to get a new one
