max boost for a stock block LQ4

The rods are the weakest link on that motor, and that has nothing to do with boost level its directly affected by power output, I wouldn't go past 700 crank HP on that engine, you could go closer to 800 if you were turbo cause of no parasitic lose from the blower. We ran my brothers lq4 on 14psi last night on a turbo with no problems but that's pushing her to the limit.

Well I haven't raced anyone with the current setup so how does anyone on the "street" have any clue what I have. I was about 420 wheel hp before the cam. Now I'm at 11psi. Which would be about a 60% increase in power which would be around 650whp. And will be better when i add the meth and up the shift points

I haven't been easy with it. Lol. Just been chasing other issues like the battery. And between getting married, having a 3 yo step daughter and a pregnant wife time and funds are limited. If it doesn't rain I might be out tonight. But the meth still isn't hooked up.

So I turned up the shift point. Ended up at 6700 but only getting 9.5-10 psi now. This doesn't seem right with the 3.6" pulley. Something's up with my setup. Would it being hotter will it lower my boost? Ambient temp was about 60 last night. When I still had my 60e in and made a run with the 3.85 pulley I was seeing close to 9 @ 6000. I have also redone the intercooler and piping when I did the 80e swap
