So why didn't you turn it up for the dyno only then? I run 20lbs on 93 and Snow stage 1 biggest nozzle now. At the track I'll dump in 98 unleaded for a cushion in my turbo 5.3.

 

you dont have to build the motor.. just a cam and springs along with head gaskets and bolts or studs will get you farther than your transmisison can push you.

Look at the crazy Stock48, he is runnin up around 20psi on a stock LQ4 with the baby triple 12 cam, LS9 head gaskets and ARP Studs, and making over 1000 to the wheels with alot of Methanol.

 

iv done 18-20 psi on my stock bottom 4.8 and no problems

 

On 93 only?

 

foose04 has ran 20-22psi in his 4.8. i think hes on e85 though
makes over 700hp on a little bit of n20

 

On 93 pump 10-12ish, Should make 550whp+
