I do not like my "Cold Heat". You have to have a solid contact on each half of the tip in order to generate heat. It is kind of a pain in the *** when trying to hold two wires in one hand and the gun in the other. Another thing is that the tips burn-up when they arc. I just haven't have had good luck with the thing. I do best with a mini butane torch.

Hey, More info on those connectors!

Hey grippy Is that 8 rib pulley standard or is it just the one you had on your 8 rib setup?

I agree, mini torch is way better. I had to solder 26 door lock wires in a commercial building downtown DC. Perfect setting, I had a rolling table had the wires roach clipped, just like the commercial. It worked for me, but it was a pain. I bought a mini torch by door #5.

You have to have perfect contact between both wires and it has to be held there for a while before it generates any heat to melt anything. When you use it you will see what I am talking about. Keep your normal soldering iron handy. You WILL toss this thing away after trying to use it.

The adapter I suggested is for an LS2... not the truck (MultecII)... an obvious oversight on my part. Sorry about that. If you are interested in LS2 style adaptors then contact Blown Chevy as he said he has them...

I emailed John at Casper Electronics last night and he promptly responded this morning. They are working on a Multec II - to - EV1 (Bosch style) adapter. It should be available this coming (late) spring. So, the adapter all of us truck guys want is coming... just not available for you right now grippy... so I guess its splice and dice
