Default Magnacharger Water Pump

How long did your Magnacharger water pump last? Mine just went out of after about 3 years. i thought they were supposed to last longer than that??

I was doing a little bit of data logging and tuning today and was getting worried that my IATs kept climbing and not cooling down, even after highway driving. I pulled over, popped the hood, and no coolant was moving through the HE. Ambient was 34*ish and IATs got up to 116* before i could get home and put it away in the garage.

update...

I called Magnuson directly and ordered a new water pump and had them fedex overnight it to me since i needed the truck this weekend. (Overnighting it cost almost as much as the part itself). I installed the new water pump, cranked the engine, and.... it's still not pumping. F**K! I tested the positive and negative leads and it read 12V so it was getting power. I bench tested the old water pump and sure enough it still works!! So i knew something was up. I was thinking i popped the fuse. I take off the entire fuse box cover to get to the wires, check the fuse, and it's all good... Then i checked the relay and it turns out that it was all kinds of corroded!! weird thing is that none of the other wire under the fuse box were damamged. Everything under there looked brand new except for the relay. I had a few extra relays lying around so i popped in a new one and everything works good as new... Shame i had to drop a lot of coin to find out it was essentially a free fix since i have extra relays lying around for car audio.

anyone else ever have this happen?

here's a pic of the corroded relay
