What's a cts-v h/e

 

heat exchanger for the previous, non factory-supercharged CTS-V from magnacharger. Dimensionally, it is twice as tall as the truck h/e. You have to trim a bit off the back side of the plastic grill to squeeze it in there and fab up the bottom mounting. The idea is to keep IAT's down since I'm in Houston and our summers are notoriously hot. Never had the truck h/e so I can't compare before and after IAT's.

 

I have a ctsv heat exchanger, mine fit without cutting anything. I believe the TBSS one is similar

Correct. Check frozen boost dot com as well, they have some nice sized h/e's for good prices. And for future reference, the intercooler is what is in the lower intake manifold of a roots or lysholm-type supercharger. People often mistakenly call the heat exchanger the intercooler
