I'm hearing exactly what I want to hear about the Magnacharger set up. I plan on putting a cam, shift kit and torque converter (not sure of the stall yet, any recommendations?) What kind of boost are you guys running, can I get 8-9, maybe 10 psi safely? How?

One thing at a time. Seriously. Start with the kit, and the tranny mods. Don't forget to consider a trans cooler too.

boost depends on a few things. A cam will usual take away boost points as well as headers. Your not losing any power your gainig it in other areas besides boost. Boost is restriction and if you allow the engine to breath better the less boost you'll produce. I run about 7 lbs. but i have a cam and headers and other stuff free restriction. I would think on a stock motor 10 lbs but IMO really 9 to maintain reliability IMO.

The stock one? Junk it. I mean a real cooler. Look you are talking FI. Don't cheap out on parts. You will end up paying more later.

If your'e near a shop that works on vettes, they will give you an LS6 cam and springs for the asking. They throw them in the trash often and they're a nice upgrade over stock for cheap (=free). There's no need to replace the stock converter. You'll be able to smoke the tires at will with the low end power the radix provides. A shift kit might delay the need for an upgraded tranny....but you'd better budget one right behind the addition of the radix. The stock 4L60 isn't too happy radixized.

I've got a B&M tranny cooler. I had planned on towing pretty regularly when I got the truck. After purchasing it, plans changed, I've got the tranny cooler none the less.

My truck came stock with the 4l80e, from what I hear, a shift kit on the 80 will buy me a little more time, right?

You want a good TC. A TC does more than allow you to smoke the tires. A good TC will help you stay in your powerband especially if you get a cam. When you shift the rpms dont fall near as low with a good TC as it will with the stock set up. I agree your best launches with a radix is at idle because 1800 rpms or so is where you see max torque from a radix but once your going you want to minimize rpm drops between shifts.
