Default Magnacharger bypass adjustment

I got a new bypass valve with a heavier internal spring for my TVS2300. There is an adjustment screw for the bypass blade linkage stop on it. Is there a specific adjustment procedure for this and how is it done?

Im not sure but I would like to know also. I have wired mine shut before and unhooked the lines it makes instant boost. I have not been able to find anything on this maybe Magnacharger will tell you.

No issue...i have a secondary valve that came with the blower...not sure why...im also having that running into "rich" condition we talked about...i doubt a bad valve will cause it but i was snooping around wether i can adjust it myself if i go and swap valves

Unhook the vac line to it and go for a quick drive to see if the rich condition changes? It shouldn't as you are tuned for boost right? 2bar

Default Bypass Valve

You really just want to make that set screw just touch the stop...make sure to fully open the bypass manually< or with a vacuum pump> then put your finger over the port and and make sure the bypass doesn't close when your when you release the bypass linkage. After ensuring the bypass holds vacuum release your finger from the port < or remove the hose> and the valve should close fully against the stop.

Makes sense! it seems to be working!

After i removed the vacuum hose from the barb on the bypass valve, i noticed there is a reducer on it, with a needle size hole on it...im guessing this is there on purpose. Reason i ask is cause i have a second bypass in my workbench and it doesn't have this reducer.

To adjust the Bypass Actuator Valve:

Back off the set screw so it is not touching the bypass actuators arm. Run the set screw in until it touches the arm. Then go 1/4 turn more, this will ensure the blade does not get stuck in the bore.

The reducer in the vacuum port for the Bypass Actuator Valve:

This slows down the movement of air making the bypass smoother. The bypass can be run with or without the reducer.
