Magnacharger belt wrap solution
4 Attachment(s)
Using the original Magnacharger snout support and a design originally pioneered by Gadgetized, I decided to improve upon his idea of adding an idler pulley below the snout of the MP112 to increase belt wrap. I am no machinist but I know enough to be dangerous so with a Bridgeport and a lathe I made a new snout support with pulley mount. This setup is with 2.9" pulley but I am sure could be modified with smaller idler for larger supercharger pulleys. I also added a jack-screw to preload the snout because of the added load.

Looks good man, I remember seeing Gagetized's setup like that. It looks like it should be effective and I cannot see where it would cause any issues. Thanks for sharing. The jack screw, is it setup to apply pressure on the main bracket so that the two bolts are not taking all the load? Do you have any pics from the rear?

Wow that turned out good !
Looks like about 320* of wrap at least ! Nice. ! |
The jack screw pushes against the main pulley bracket bolted to the front of the engine. I will try and get some pictures of the rear today.

That looks awesome. I would imagine it makes a pretty decent difference!

In the way back machine... BUMP this thread for some results!
