Magna Charger Issues
#12
I would STRONGLY suggest you contact Magnuson/Blownchevy first thing BEFORE you go to the dyno, and possibly do damage. They can pretty talk you thru almost anything you might need to do. Although mine is on a GM product, I have over 50,000 miles on my Radix, numerous trips back and forth across the country with no problems what so ever.

My truck is a 2008 King Ranch 4x4. The only other mods I have done is a Magnaflow muffler. I guess the installer did get the update from the SCT website. I'll update this whole deal later today.
I am in Longview Texas.

Then you are good to go. Did you baseline on the same dyno?

We could not find the time.......to get a baseline dyno run. We put the truck on the dyno this morning and got 323 RWHP/368 torque. The rev-limiter was set at 4000 RPM, so we couldn't get a full pull on the dyno. The engine is running a little lean at the higher RPM range. My dealer has a call into Magna Charger to see about getting the rev-limiter removed and adjust the lean condition on top. He is also not completely satisified with the shift points.
From what I understand the MC tuner person is in Michigan doing something up there. Hopefully he will contact my dealer and send him an adjusted tune that we can load and try tomorrow.
The guy that owns the dyno had run baseline runs on several F150 trucks and they were running around 220 to 240 RWHP, so right now we are looking at a 100 HP improvement at 4000 RPM. Does all of this make any sence to anyone?

The F-150s are tuned to a 5000 RPM readline....there has to be an issue with the dyno.....
100-110 RWHP gain is about right on the F-150's, they are very sensitive to boost...... I would have liked to see a baseline on your truck first...maybe it dynoed at 210 RWHP because its 4wd.

You will have to excuse my lack of knowledge concerning all of this, but I am pretty sure they used a wideband for the A/F ratio. They welded a connection in the exhaust and hooked up a cable there. Something was going on at 4000 RPM. My installer runs on this dyno all the time, so I would assume he knows what he is doing. Hopefully Magna Charger will contact us tomorrow and work out the tuning issues.
