Where the hell are you knuckleheads getting that it was a 4.8? It says right in the article that "the guinea pig was a 5.3". ????

Easy, "hmm how do we sell a magazine? Oh i know lets tell everyone we made 50,000hp on a stock 4.3... everyones gonna wanna know how." Get the drift? All marketing, lure them in with good bait. See how they advertised FAST, COMP, and now even the chinese CXracing?

Never heard of or noticed that. Doesn't seem like something that would be common knowledge...

The magazine exaggerated, so what, does that mean you can't break the 1000hp barrier with a stock bottom end on an engine dyno?

I believe that it made the 1000 mark, with the set up. And back to the injectors, if it had no drive line to support or acc's, the FP was jacked up, then it would be far less load on the engine then if it was in a vehicle.. The FP was not mentioned so that is a ?? for us.. We have seen guys smash the 1000hp mark a bit on stock cranks.. Some good points brought up, but I doubt they are making bogus statements.. None the less the ls is def one of if not the strongest engine ever...

So aside from your apparent bias...what proof to you have that the article or their test is BS? I mean you clearly are of mind that they lied strictly to sell magazines, which is an opinion...but where are your FACTS about where and how they lied?

They didnt make the 1200hp with the parts mentioned, not enough fuel. They lied. It might've made close to 900, pushing it, not doubting the motor, just the setup.

So then you know what fuel pressure they were running? Like said above, injectors are often rated at 43.5psi.

Not trying to start anything, but you are calling a very reputable, respected and longstanding motorsport magazine liars, which is pretty bold.
