unless you're planning on running a ton of boost, why would you stick with a 4.8? Don't forget how much power other guys are making N/A with 6.0s

Before anyone thinks they can go out and buy a couple ebay turbos make 1200 horse power without too much trouble.Think again there is some key details here that allow this lil engine to breathe. All while venting critical cylinder pressure. The cam things not too big of a deal cause, they got more then enough air flow using two 76mm turbos.

Nice read, that is surely a lot of power. Shows just what tuning and a truck engine can do for you.
Anyone notice just how BLUE that down pipe is. WOW some serious heat there.
something else. 75lb injectors. and worm gear clamps holding stuff together. got to love it.

26.8 psi on 118 octane! I read the article a few days ago. It's amazing what those engineers at GM have come up with creating these LS engines! Only true modifications are increasing the top ring gap from 0.015 to 0.028 so the rings don't butt together and obvious head porting (larger intake valves), cam, intake, injectors, and valve springs. Simply amazing!

Hmmmmmmm....I wonder what the real breaking point is on these engines?

Time to turn up the boost....
