so i haven't posted here for a while but after 4 years of runnin my sts trubo on my Denali it finally let go after 25k (58k total) hard miles lol. After a summer of nitrous and 12# heres the after math. im almost wonderin if a injector failed? oh well on to bigger and better things lol.

 

Definitely look like detonation with all the spots on the piston. Also look like the ringland didn't break but rather melted

 

I second detonation. Is it possible that you picked up low octane at a crappy station, then ran it hard? Is it only in that one cylinder?

 

The dreaded #7 burnt piston...

 

its alaska all the gas is crappy lol. it was 90 and i was runnin pure meth so idk. only #7 looked like this all the others looked fine
