That's what I figured, but when the fuse blew, I had no alarm. If the alarm was hard wired to the battery (which I don't think it is) I would've heard it. Fortunatley for me, the oil backed and pushed past the seals, so when the fuse blew, I had burnt oil coming out of my tailpipe. I was able to shut it off and basically coast into work a quart low.

I don't know why the fuse blew. It never blew again after that, but I never left the house again without spare fuses and oil. Not my idea of a good time.

Why dont they come up with a way to just kill the truck when the pump fails? Instead of a buzzer you could have it wired to the fuel pump or any other way to kill the truck? I could see this not being to good if you were hauling *** cause brakes and steering would suck but would save the motor. Just a thought.

You could set it up with a cattleprod in the seat. When the pump stops workin you will get shocked in the rearend. So that you can hurry up and pull off the road and shut the truck off

In my case, the buzzer had failed as well. I was using my STS harness at the time.

Take my advice. Routinely jump that switch and test the buzzer.

Like I said, all this BS can be avoided anyway just by mounting it higher.

There is a company that make self contained oil style turbos. Might be able to do something like that.

Who is this you speak of? If you're refering to aerocharger, they've been out of business for years.
