OP, Trick or KBracing can prolly answer/ help w/. any questions these guys don't. From what I've seen, they both do great work. And have systems for you when you're ready. There's a lot of talent/ knowledge on PT, & not just sponsors.

Any of the intakes should handle boost pretty well. There's been some talk of leaning out #7 and frying the piston with a stock intake manifold at higher boost levels, but I think that's only one of many factors.

Cam - stay small. What size engine are you going to put this on? Lots of guys with the smaller 4.8 and 5.3's run the LS6 cam, which IIRC is something like a 208/217 on a 117.5 LSA or something like that, someone correct me if I'm wrong. If you're going with a 6.0 I'd probably go a little bigger but not much. I was running a 220/222-580/580-114 on my 403 and I liked it a lot.

Intercooler - a lot of guys run the 3" in/out ebay intercoolers and wedge them either behind the grille on a 03+ or in between the frame rails behind the bumper valance on 99-02.

Exhaust - really depends on your local resources, unless you want to order a bolt-on kit from a large MFG. Also depends on how much power you plan to make.

You should also think about running a methanol injection kit if you plan to run higher boost numbers. It will increase your octane, cool the air charge, and let you run more timing and boost.

Most FI guys on the site run the NGK TR-6 spark plugs.

That's all the basic stuff I can think of off-hand...if you have more questions, ask away.

I will be running keeping my 6.0, prob just do a little head work, redo the bottom end with some lower compression pistons. Prob go with a TR220 or TR224. Have been looking into the methanol injection. Said to be worth the money. Have been checking out the LS6 intakes. Most people say that they do good with the 6.0's. Also, would it be wise to go ahead and upgrade to the 4L80e when doing this? I have a lot of money in this tranny. Billet input shaft is all I seem to have to worry about breaking right? What stall seems to work with everyone?

NO need in lowering your compression unless you are planning on building a HI boost applicaiton.
80 will be a must in my opinion. unless you leave your 6.0L in stock trim and leave the boost low say around 10ish psi.
WJ mark runs a 65e I believe with a 6.0, cammed and 12psi seems to work just fine for him.

I would really like to do a budget build. I'm not the best welder but could def make it happen. What do you think about the cam in my sig? Maybe smaller? I'd prob run max 10psi just for assurance until the next build.
