Any type of F/I+stock4L60E=:pop:
Check with KBracing96, he's also a sponsor and his kits are considerably less for a normal front mount, and his customer service has been great with him... Tricks low mount kit is cool too, I almost went that route.
I'm in the middle of a turbo build and I can tell you, budget about $1000 more than you want to spend and that will be closer to your realistic number. I'm going to end up having about $800 alone in instrumentation that nobody includes with their kit... Injectors and a fuel pump are needed as well.... Then you're getting started..... Yeah, I said started lol...

He took his stocker out in working order and put in a more substantial unit I do believe, his stocker is his backup if I'm not mistaken....and yes I do agree, it is dependant on how you drive, but most people who want to add power, want to use it too much lol...

Mine pooped because we were drinking too much when installing the shift kit
But it still lasted 2 years of FI with 4wd launches and towing heavy trailers
I think most of the ones dying are from neutral drops

Yep, the mostly stock tranny and 4.8 are sitting on the shop floor in perfect running condition, well the 4.8 needs a set of head gaskets, but still runs non the less after 45k boosted miles. They're my backups,
I can hook you up with a nice front mount turbo for a good price
I should have kit pics and full details published shortly.

I got 35-40k out of mine and I replaced it with another stocker that went 30K. Now I am on an FLT.
