Anywho, I bought the non-intercooled kit and initially IAT, fueling, tuning, etc. was no issue because I had a dyno shop a mile from the house and Allen Nelson was handling my tuning.... Then, I bought my first pulley, then my second.... did I mention I bought the non-intercooled kit?.... at 12 psi of boost and no intercooler the 5.3L never stood a chance.. I was running 11-15 degrees timing tops. I added the Snow Stage 2 kit with the 625ml nozzle and boost reference variable controller. I tried the smaller 375 ml nozzle that also came with the kit but I heard the dreaded ping at about 5400 on out. Installed the 625, no more noise... I tuned the meth to start spray around 1 psi and go to full spray at 10 psi. Once the meth was tuned in I moved to 24 degrees timing up top. My driving around IAT's hover about 135* or so off the discharge of the blower. I moved the IAT sensor to 3" in front of the TB so my readings are accurate. When the good stuff starts spraying my IAT's drop to low 80* and only climb to around 100* through the boosted run.
I like that so well I decided that if I could improve the trucks feel this drastically with just a blower, I started thinking about what a cam and set of heads would feel like with this combo... I was running 42lb GM 8.1L Marine injectors and my duty cycles were 121% so it was time for an upgrade anyway..... So I contacted two of our site sponsers, one for a cam, and one for a set of heads.... To make a long story short, when getting on the dyno 30 minutes after the truck was put back together, the truck had a serious bucking situation going on from 4000 rpm on out... If you ever have a chance to sit inside a truck putting 500+ RWHP to the ground and feel it start to try to break its straps and go....don't..... it was not fun... anyway the raw tune we had did not account for the additional fueling being provided by the meth kit... I backed nearly 18% fueling out of the tune in PE from about 4000-5400 and the truck settled and turned out 500 rwhp at 492 ft/lbs... I have since, made great strides in the tune with HP Tuners and am on the verge of going to 2 bar SD this week to allow me to refine my tuning in boosted level.... BTW, did I mention I am still non-intercooled...? I am working on a SS bumper cover and intercooler since I installed the e-fans and have the real estate....
I would expect the timing to be increased in the mid load areas since the IAT's should be better down low with that benefit... But for now the Chemical Intercooling is allowing me to run 12 PSI on a stock bottom and abbout 10 degrees more timing than I would otherwise be able to run...Oh I run a 50/50 mix of winterized washer fluid and 2 bottles of heet..... about 3 bucks a gallon...I have considered buying bulk meth and creating my own mix since I have an alcoholmeter coming this week....Between that and the 2 BAR, I think the next few weeks may get interesting.........

My truck was on the dyno making 480hp 550tq and I ran out of meth (100%) So we put in 50% denatured alky and water in. I lost 30hp right off the bat, We couldn't tune and get the 30hp back at all.

Anyone have experience with the FJO kit? (initial or long-term) It pulses the injector instead of running the pump at different speeds like the others do. It also comes with some nice-looking software.
