how are the boost characteristics around town and on the highway? What kind of boost do you run at @75mph on the highway? How long did it take to install the kit? Was tuning easy?

Wont know for a couple more weeks. Im putting the new motor and turbo on in the next couple of weeks and then dropping it off for the 4L80 to be installed. I'll definately post up about the differences though. The new setup will have a 3200 PI as opposed to the 3000 that I have now.

The kit was pretty striaght forward to install everything other than having to fab a a/c hose it was complete. As for the boost at 75 mph I guess 4-5 lbs at steady cruise. I boost to 9lbs with no meth on the low boost setting and 14-16 lbs on the high boost side with a stock bottom end with no kr for what it is worth and after we got the tune right the only thing that has been a problem is keeping a tranny together..... 4 times a charm I guess The kit rocks I have friends with sts 76mm kit on 2wd trucks and from a roll or a dig I rip them This year I have bigger plans if I get the tranny to stay together with a 125 shot as well as a bigger turbo but It will g-tech 12.3's right now at 6800 ft today(corrected) not bad for 6230 lbs.

Your at 4-5 lbs of boost while cruising at 75. Something is not right. At 75 I never see boost unless I am on a steep grade then I see 1-2 psi at most. How much boost are the sts kits running?

The Duramax I/C is to big. There is not enough room without some serious hacking to make it fit.

awsome, thanks for the info. I should find out tomorrow how much I'm getting for my silverado and the kit will soon after be on order. I wonder if I would still need meth if I ran the bigger D-max IC. I guess we'll see
