L86 Whipple & DOD/AFM Delete Question
I have a 2019 Escalade with the L86 6.2 and 10 speed transmission. It's my daily driver and I am looking to add a Whipple Supercharger as well as delete the DOD/AFM system to make it as reliable as possible. I want simple bolt on and won't be building the transmission or converter.
Below is what I was looking to purchase. The cam appears to be the stock cam without DOD. Since I am going forced induction would you all recommend a different cam? Do you all recommend any changes to what I have selected? I am not looking for a race truck. I will be on 93 octane, factory Whipple boost pressure, and wasn't planning on upgrading the fuel system unless you think it will be needed.

Stay with the stock camshaft that is in that kit if you do not want to do any more fuel system changes. The whipple kit then will just be a bolt on and go with the the supplied tune. I would assume you could tell them it's has the DoD remove and just running a stock size camshaft still.

If your already in there I would go ahead and put a boost cam with a 32% over fuel lobe. It doesn't cost anymore to do that and with the factory fuel lobe your going to run out of fuel fast. I put money on you getting a custom tune anyway. Very rarely does someone say man that Whipple tune was spot on.

My 14 ran fine on the Whipple tune but picked up after custom. If you are changing the cam I agree with a bigger fuel lobe and maybe Lt4 injectors athough not required they are cheap. Only if you do a custom tune though. I just can't see going to the trouble of a cam and not do these 2 items as well. What's the point? I agree with post 2 and 3.

Let's face some facts here...
You say the supercharger is all you want, I bet that's what you said when you bought the Escalade with the 6.2. If you are the kind of guy who mods things, it seems as though that would be an accurate description from your post, I'd say you are gonna need to set it up for extra fuel and boost. To do that properly you will need to upgrade cam with fuel lobe and injectors as Ted said. He knows more about these trucks than most of the guys on here so I'd listen to what he has say...
