That is where the wastegate would go. It mounts to both the crossover pipe and down pipe so you need a little bit of play.

I would notch the frame for the bigger IC even if he did offer the smaller one. My IATs have been consitently only 4 degrees above ambient at cruise... They climb in boost just as can be expected but come back down very quickly after a run...

These are the specs they list and it's 3" in/outlets

<700Cubic Feet/Min, Rated to 600-800 Max HP

You sure not have to notching on frame for intercooler? It would be good one for me. More safe not hit intercooler from notching because depend when you drive on rough road or dirty road make them shake and hit eachother?
