Mic, tell me what you think of this. Since your pulling your tranny off and sending it out, if you will pull your manifold and send it to me, I will build you a stainless steel crossover to fit your manifold and gussets up the area where the welded tubing broke, for just my cost of the materials. This should help in standing up to the high temps.

Oh and if anything ever breaks or comes apart on that manifold I will eat my shirt!

Let me know and I will order the materials I need today.

I appreciate it Kyle, Allen and I have some 10 guage stainless that we are going to build it out of, and some 1/2" stainless that we are going to have water jetted for the flange. Im going to try to go overkill on the strength. I plan on puting this kit on my 408 with lots of boost as well so it needs to be strong. thanks for the offer.

Kyle has a good kit for those that want to start off in the turbo world. But for those who want to play hardcore and make serious power need to start stepping up to a design thats meant to handle it. If you look at the hot parts we build and sell, they consist of a tubular header design. When you push all the back pressure through on side of the motor, pressure goes through the roof. Not good. So if you are trying to step up your game, you will have to step up to something built around what you are trying to do. Nothing towards kyle, he is building a product for those who need just that. A good system at a good price.

Very true. The price is always something that has kept people away from forced induction, but KB's kit opened that door up. I'm glad its made out of the materials it is because it works and keeps the cost down. When getting to the boost level and no telling what backpressures and EGT's you are, I would want the tubular headers for sure.

Looks good! What gauge pipe are you using? I will be back out there next week, lets throw my T76 on your 5.7L @20psi and test those pipes

Kyle, the gussets will only move the crack further down the pipe if something were to break. Try looking into a new meterial like 304 or 321. Its about double the price, but you will find it will last a lot longer.
